Malachi's Pastoral Purpose Is Different From Paul's

Paul uses malachi as part of his argument about election, and who god ses who god doesn't. But malachi is using the same idea with a different pastoral purpose. In romans he's spent eight chapters already talking about something else. So i think it's too easy to just grab a verse and think, oh, well, that's in romas nine. Let's go to romans nine. And then you end up in a long and quite involved discussion about predestination a and and reprobation as well. You quickly forget about malachi and why malachi was talking about this.
