Tattoos Are a Global Thing
Tattoos appear in cultures around the world and mean different things to different groups. One of the oldest mummies ever found has tattoos - he's over 5,000 years old. Inuit women up in the Arctic tattoo elegant stripes on their cheekbones. Berber women in Algeria have fine dots on their faces. The first known tattoo is much older than the word itself.
