The Origins of the Reefs
Charles darwin wrote a seminal book on oncoral reefs. He thought that the corals grow upwards by positing their own limestone. And he found, also in his trip around the world, that the earth was much more con movable than previously thought. The idea of evolution had been in the air a long time, they just hadn't thought how it could work. In some areas where you have a lot of tetonics and the earth jumps in steps, you can see reef growing like that. But i want to talk a little bit about how these things rerformed.
