The History of Biblical Marriage

In the Bible, marriage was still quote, here's my daughter, here's a dowry pay to you. So you'll take her off my hands. The bedroom is that way. Marriage wasn't made a sacrament in either old or New Testament. But simply put biblical marriage was like buying something from your neighbor's garage sale. And I'm sorry for how that sounds. But that is the most accurate description of how things really were.
