The Floor Is High for a Second Year Undrafted Free Agent

Brockford: I think we saw the floor last year. He's gotten this rare opportunity for an undrafted free agent to put up some tape during your rookie season and put up like some tape of you being a competent quarterback. Purdy gives Kyle Shanahan a full off season to not only build this offense so that it works for Brock Purdy because last offseason he was planning to build this offense for Trey Lance, who's like a completely different type of quarterback than what he ended up coaching last year. But if that's the floor, this offense has a tremendously high ceiling. It's good enough to withstand any regression we'll see on the other side of the ball.
