There is no law like this in the country. This kind of enforcement doesn't exist in other kinds of restrictions like this. It's going to have an effect on any one who is targeted by this. Even if it's found that they did not do anything unlawful, you know, they still are not going to recoup those costs in that time and the stress of being sued for this.

Texas didn't just make it almost impossible to get an abortion, the state made it easy to sue somebody who gets one after about six weeks of pregnancy — and anyone who helps. KUT reporter Ashley Lopez explains.
