The Matrix Model Revolution - Space and Time Are the Ground Floor

In robert's metaphor, space and time are the ground floor. They are the bottom and everything is built on top of that. We would like to see the great conundrum of quantising gravity o a kind of marrying quanta mechanics and general relativity, gravity and symmetries. That we would do it in a two step process. Now, first we have space and time. And then on top of the space time, there are these gravity fields, and they have to be quantise.
