Tim Jackson and Danny Dalling cite the experience of a country which, like our own, has reached an advanced state of development. Japan has had two, maybe approaching three, lost decades of growth since the crash that began in 1989 - but it continues to have the highest life expectancy in the world. We should always be thinking about how effectively do we use the resources available to us to create goods and services other people will value. And so the economics of enough is about doing that in a sustainable way.
