Is There a Connection Between Illustration and Acting?
I think illustration, which is a big part of my creative practice, has a lot in common with acting. When you attach meaning to a symbol, it automatically has more depth for you and the people sat there. I recently saw this TikTok with Matthew McConaughey, where he was talking about his most famous line in Dazed and Confused. His most famous line is three words that are the same. And on the surface, basically mean nothing, right? It's easy to disconnect from the fact that it really is the language of your unconscious if you are willing to connect that.
