MSIX is effectively a special kind of zip that has some XML inside. So you can't actually make these with normal zip code, but you can unzip them with a normal zip tool to have a look at what's inside. And Windows interprets all this and understands it and has the update engine built in. All Windows 10 and 11 machines have support for this. Once the app is installed, then it will be kept up to it automatically. We don't use MSIX directly. We provide a little installer XC that the user interacts with. That takes care of some details for you, but it's got some very nice features.
