I can well see attaching one of these GPT like chatbots to every medical decision making system using AI that when it makes a diagnosis or recommend something and then you ask why it generates some text. You want the idea to behave in such a way that you can understand what it's doing, even if you don't ask it questions right we have models of each other that's what your mind and social life is about. But unfortunately I don't think we're going to need regulation to make that happen because as people get more comfortable with AI and start having a real model of what it is they'll be able to better use it.
