The universe is co-eternal with God, but nevertheless it depends upon him for its order and its being. It's very difficult to see how an infinite past could have been formed by adding one member at a time to arrive at an actual infinity of events today. And what is the best argument in your view, say from philosophy, that the past is finite? Well, I think it would probably be the impossibility of forming an actually infinite collection of past Events.
