The Importance of Class in Marxism

I take it from your discussion that you understand landlords to be part of the broader capitalist class. But this is a position which isn't without controversy within Marxian thought itself. Does analytical integration of this sort obscure other important dynamics, such as settler colonialism? I think there are two ways in which I would explain or perhaps even justify the use of class. The ultimate goal is to push for the emancipation of subalternative classes. I think that that's definitely what we need to be aiming at.
