This is the place where Jesus was baptized. The only Bethany we can identify for 2000 years is the one on the Mount of Olives, which is obviously west of the Jordan River. So if they can draw Christian tourists to Jordan, God bless them. He'd been there twice, felt safe, wonderful people, great food.
