The Morbidity of a Missed Pelvic Fracture
Dr. Tumlin: It's important to get patients with HIP-Fractures to the OR as soon as possible. A lateral compression fracture can have significant more morbidity associated with it, and the underlying vasculature. When you're getting this imaging, it's important first to look at exactly what type of fracture it is. The ones that really fall into this category are the unilateral inferior pubic raymai that's not displaced.
