We're happy with all sorts of divisions of labour. But the one we never do is the reproductive division of labour. It's just something we don't aspire to. So your optimism, it manifested itself, at least in part, in your writing career,. that there's a biological origin of virtue. And so it's a fundamental instinct, and there's a universality about it, which i think is very optimistic. If there is a universal basis for morality, despite its obvious cultural differences, it means that we can potentially understand each other well enough to engage in reciprocal action across even tribal boundaries. That would be the hope.
