Protestants have struggled with doctrinal issues. The Reformation brought about a lot of unity among denominations that I've seen in theologians working together and doing projects together. If you're denying this primary doctrine or this primary confession, you're already kind of working down the wrong, the wrong path when you're doing theological interpretation.
