If you were close enough to two colliding black holes or neutron stars, would you be able to see the gravitational waves rippling off? Alexander cordova says there is zero effect of the expansion of the universe on what happens inside a galaxy. Casey mahone had an idea that we should be able to detect the presence of our brain by studying its thought process. But he did not claim to believe it was true. If you only studied the radio itself, you would never be able to understand where sound comes from. So maybe consciousness works in a similar way as science does.
