If you were close enough to two colliding black holes or neutron stars, would you be able to see the gravitational waves rippling off? Alexander cordova says there is zero effect of the expansion of the universe on what happens inside a galaxy. Casey mahone had an idea that we should be able to detect the presence of our brain by studying its thought process. But he did not claim to believe it was true. If you only studied the radio itself, you would never be able to understand where sound comes from. So maybe consciousness works in a similar way as science does.
Welcome to the October 2021 Ask Me Anything episode of Mindscape! These monthly excursions are funded by Patreon supporters (who are also the ones asking the questions). I take the large number of questions asked by Patreons, whittle them down to a more manageable size — based primarily on whether I have anything interesting to say about them, not whether the questions themselves are good — and sometimes group them together if they are about a similar topic. Enjoy!
