What Happened to You Matters?

I think what's so wonderful about this though, Toronto, is that you were able to articulate to how it's the culture. So often our mothers and our aunts are complicit in offering us blame. And I try to articulate this too about my mother and it's a sense of protection,. But there're no examples. There's nobody doing the work of interrupting sexual violence in our community. People don't see it as a social justice issue... It's all of these questions and shame around it.
