Four other New England sailing captains approached him about joining forces with an English pirate named Henry Every. Together they would form an unstoppable pirate fleet that could pick off a whole mughal shipping convoy one by one. Rarely had such a large group of pirates work together, and if they succeeded their combined haul could be many times the value of what two plundered on his last trip.
