Don't take a job with the hopes that it could lead to some other job you might not even like anyway. I found that I've gotten that career advice from Harvard MBAs and people like that yeah do be more well rounded. It's very easy to take the job it's going to sound good at the happy hour the cocktail party but if you're putting 80 hours 60 hours a week into something you hate just to tell people about it to brag for 30 minutes so a pretty bad trade off 100% dude.
