The Journey to Yosemite

Drew and Sarah Holsey had driven over 2,000 miles in less than five days. They entered the park from the south where the road winds down toward Yosemite Valley. After meandering through the foothills for miles and miles, drivers get one quick glance at the valley before diving into a long tunnel. The goal for Yosemite was to hike, see the sights, and bask in the enormity of the walls. But then Drew got a message from a climber named Garrett who'd been following along with their trip on social media. "It's like once we show them what we can do it, it's like validating my mission," he says.
