The Mystery of Iniquity

I don't think that my story is illegitimate because I came from an extreme background. And so I don't have to fit into that narrative that, that only people that are damaged and broken and gay and needing a savior. So it doesn't discount my experience instead. What it should do is say, well, I haven't been through what that guy's been through. Maybe there's more hope for me. But if somebody came from extreme abuse and still found redemption through Jesus Christ then wouldn't that also give somebody hope?
