The French and the English Strategy in the Lesser Antilles
In 16 25, a company called the company des ille de la mari set up a colony on saint kitt's. They did not see it as worth their while to just try to attack and overwhelm and destroy the english settlement. So they agreed to a sort of tense peace with the english part of the island. The french colony sends expeditions to start to expand into the other islands,. Most importantly, into the larger islands of the lesser antilles.
