In general, I don't advise using these strategies with men that you're actively in a relationship with. Like if he's an abusive piece of shit, wait for him to be in a weakened state like when he's drunk. And that's when you can do your counter attack if he's already abusive to you. If the stronger actor uses barbarism and the weaker actor uses direct offense, they're actually more likely to win. It's not necessarily about what forces you have. It's more about willpower. You're attacking their will to fight.
