The Importance of Listening

The most underrated tool in communication are the words, if I understand you correctly, then what I think you mean is. You're either going to confirm that you understand the person accurately or you're going to find out that you didn't understand them and then you can get on the same page. And a lot of headache and frustration is avoided before it ever becomes an issue. So yeah, just not assuming and using that phrase is definitely showing like, hey, I may not know the answer, but I'm trying to. Can you help me out? What else we got?"
