The Relationship Between Spinoza's Big Idea

We try to organize our lives rationally around how often we'll encounter, use or avoid certain things. Spinoza says that A full account of the nature of each passion must bring in the nature of the external object by which the person having the passion is affected. The next step is to consider different opinions based on the facts. And the final step is to weigh the facts and opinions with understanding and objectivity. All of them have to have the facts before they are able to reach intelligent decisions.
