The Risks of Operating a Crypto Platform as Your Own L1
One of the potential problems with having your own L1 is it requires people to bridge money on and off the L1 from some sort of fiat on-ramp or another chain. I could see potentially being a risk to price discovery. The ultimate goal is you have your assets on any source chain or pretty agnostic. It's sending to this trustless bridge, decentralized bridge protocol, and then it will serve as collateral.
