The Mona Lisa and the Skateboard to Car Concept
In the story mapping book, I use this Mona Lisa metaphor. If you're a painter, the first thing you might do is a pencil sketch that shows what you intend to paint. That's not even a painting yet. It's just enough to see the shape of it and know where the positions of everything are. So then the next version, that's just adding more functionality to it. The other one that's often used is the skateboard to car concept. Start with one thing and end up with another. What's your view on those two? Are they polar opposites?
