The Golden Ring of the Hacking Community
NASA used to be the golden ring if you could hack NASA then you're doing great. Most of the machines that they're compromising are research machines maybe a project website but these are not connected to like satellites for example. For me since I was using a lot of IRC in those days I like to use basically a host to bounce through and instead of me paying for like a virtual host with a nice domain I would break into universities. Now if I needed a machine to bounce through to hack into a specific government when I was focusing on that then I would choose countries that did not have extra digital laws with the target country such as Russia or Ukraine ironically.
