When you center on joy, there is delight that can hold our imperfection with so much softness and tenderness. I think about how I enjoy my kids. When they do things or they don't live up to my hopes or standards, I'm not harping on them in a negative way. So it's helpful to think about how we can do that with ourselves when we're not living into these values perfectly. If we can have a little bit of that humor and delight to say, oh, this is what it means to be human isn't it tender? It's like precious.
