What Are the Demand Drivers of Tourism in India?

The World Economic Forum has been evaluating different countries. India is at 54, which is something that India needs to fix and I think by fixing a few things, India can sort of get ahead. It comes down to people today are much more aware about the impact on the environment. What is the socioeconomic resilience and conditions that exist in India which makes tourism a pleasurable experience? And also, what is the impact of travel and tourism on local economy, the local resources?
