Jordan Peterson wrote a book in 1999 called Maps of Meaning. He argues that it's the tension caused by this opponent processing, that that tension leads to self-organized criticality which leads to increased complexification over time. The metamythology involves the same pattern as an insight. Order to send into chaos reemergence into a higher order. So how is it that disparate cultures could arrive at a general structure within their mythological narratives?
