Do You Have a Good Backlink Strategy?

The big issue and the big rub these days, a lot of people have it is that their sites just take so long to get indexed. So many people are turning to age domains or anything they can do to help quit a hasten that process. What do you see helping that in terms of what type of content you write? I mean, is it all about low competition and long tail to do that? Or are there other strategies?
