Are You Sure? And Let the Dead Bury Their Own Dead?
Matthew tells us that there are people in Jesus' community from across the spectrum of maturity. You have good Torah observant Jewish boys like James and John and Peter and Andrew, and then you have a tax collector in there. And Judas, a scariate that we're about to read about. But my point for now is just that you realize that some people were ready and willing to give up everything to follow after Jesus in his new little community.
