How to Be a Successful Editor on a Project
We do something like a pics delivery, which is just a dailies viewing system for everybody on the entire studio and the crew. We go through and make sure that the notes were transferred and encoded that they're all good. Then yeah, we make special playlists for whether it be a wider dispersal with the crew or whether it's just the studio that Sam only wants these certain clips that highlight his favorite stuff to go out to them. That's an extra deliverable that we do each morning and those have to get out to the studio by end of day. I try and get like 50% familiar with everything before I go in there with him, which is less than ideal.
