The Pratt Fall Effect on Trust
There's actually a study around this called the Pratt fall effect. People who are considered highly competent can be fundamentally more likable and believable if they perform an everyday blunder over those that don't, which is another way of saying vulnerability. If you start opening up the conversation with just like, Hey, we've been through hard stuff,. Everyone now goes, you know, I did too. And so my argument is vulnerability equals trust and trust is capital. There's a lot of things that can drive trust.
