Democracy Is a Stupid Political System
Onabasis is a book about the Greek king cyrus and his army. The men mutinied after being told they would be used in local campaigns. These were free men, bound by collective will of their peers but not slaves dependent on another's whim. Onabasis suggests that democracy can work only if there are significant external threats.
