Block Fi Lending Stable Coins to Hedge Funds
Stable coins are crypto currencies that peg their value to some external reference, off in us. D they allow funds to dollar denominate trades on the block chain. Banks won't lend to block fie to turn around and lend to hedge funds to make the basis trade. So where does block fi get the money to lend? You guessed it deposits, specifically stable coin deposits. They're important here because hedge funds need them to make sure the basis trade is actually delta neutral.
