Is That What's Happening in the Universe?

In this picture, inside the black hole, there's no space. There's just a weird surface that has mathematically coated on to it enough information to describe a three d space. This idea from black holes led us to think more carefully about the relationships between three d spaces and two d spaces. And so maybe you can describe the entire three dimensional universe that has strings in it as a two dimensional service. That would make some calculations easier to do, and other calculations actually harder to do.
