Erkhan's Recurring Throughout Her Work at Hunger

Erkhan's work is about getting rid of all the social constructions that people project on each other. What she does is she returns us to the basis of who we are and what we are, which is that we're another kind of animal. She's also very interested in the mouth as the point of speech, language. For me, it was just such a delight to see her working with a gigantic vat of raw clay.
