There's an idea that bipolar disorder, particularly the manic phase of bipolar disorder, is linked to creativity and even creative genius. When I'm hypomanic, I see connections between things. It's like the fabric of the universe just seems to be connected and it makes sense to me. And I'm able to write about that.
