Critical Thinking in a Secular Culture

The Natasha Crain Podcast

CHAPTER

Theistic Evolution

In a secular world view, there's no divine revelation on the nature of humanity to look to. Man is not the product of a purposeful creator, but rather the product of an indifferent chance process. If that's all we are, we belong only to ourselves and our meaning and purpose are completely determined by us. We're just on our own. It's our authority, not god, not a creator. And i should note that even those who would say, well, i believe that there's a god or some kind of being who created me, that doesn't take away from this idea that the authority still comes back to ourselves.
