The Unfair Protection of American Forces in South Korea
In 2002, a US military convoy is doing a training exercise near Yangju. One of the vehicles hits and kills two 14 year old school girls. They refuse to let the men who were controlling that vehicle be tried under South Korean jurisdiction. Instead they're tried under the American military courts and found not guilty. After that happens you have stores refusing to stock any American goods or anything like snacks. Americans are turned away from businesses in South Korea.
