How Close Have You Managed to Mimic That Stiffness Tuning?

The material system is capable of a very dramatic change in stiffness, something that really hadn't been seen before with a lot of other engineered material systems. It was invented in Sunyatsan University in China in collaboration with Carmel Mecheidi, who's head of the Soft Machines Lab at Carnegie Mellon University. So going from this fairly rigid state to something that is liquid-like, quite viscous, easy to flow, very malleable, very deformable doesn't involve taking a bumpsum burner to it or anything like that.
