Evelyn Grassley's Mask

The apartments where the residents of the glittering city go both to fuck and to sleep are farther underground than the seven halls. They are chosen quite randomly on any given night, and it's always a bit of a scramble, finding one if you have not yourself chosen a partner to lie with that evening. The question on this occasion comes from a woman whose name used to be Evelyn Grassley. You enough choose to remember that now, for six months she has been only Eva. She at least had worn her given mask, a full moon seeming to set over a lake of black water.
