How to Use a Self-Delusion Strategy to Feel Good
If you can become more aware of times when you use a self-delusion strategy to get benefits, you can ask yourself, okay, is there a different strategy? Maybe there's a reframing strategy or the different type of strategy where I can kind of replace the delusional strategy and get the same benefits. And so it's not like that entirely takes the sting out of being wrong, but it's often enough. It's often enough of a silver lining to make the unpleasant truth tolerable enough that I'm willing to accept it.
