The Inciting Sequence of the Truman Show
I recognize that whether there is a specific inciting incident or a specific midpoint or a specific crisis, the movie's less interested in a sharp turn as it is an organic curve. And and I like that. So much work narratively has to be done for any of those shifts to happen. We have Truman being already restless. We have him seeing his dad. We have this flashback where it's like, Oh, he's kind of already like he's inciting. It's that it happened years ago, almost, right? And like this is we're only now seeing the kind of the kind of payoff of that.
