In 1960, a guy named Newt Edomard Jensen died during the team time trial at the Rome Olympic Games. He suffered heat stroke, fell off his bike, hit his head and then was taken into a tent that was overheated. Although his autopsy pointed to heat stroke as a cause of death, a rumor took flight that amphetamines were the cause of death.
