The Origins of Philosophy

In ancient Greece, there was a way of explaining things that appealed to supernatural forces. In order to explain everyday phenomenon, like why their crops failed or why they lost the battle, they would say, oh, well, you know, the God was responsible for that. And at a certain point, people started to give non supernatural answers to the kinds of questions that they were asking.
